It is difficult to directly answer that which of the two would stain teeth more. This is because staining of teeth depends upon processing of coffee or tea. Generally, more oxidized tea stains teeth more than less oxidized. On the other hand, darker roasted coffee stains teeth less.
However to answer this question, Tea stains teeth more than coffee. The reason this happens is quite simple. The Theaflavins and Thearubigins (also the Theabrownins), that are present in oxidized teas, have a much greater affinity for the surfaces of your teeth than the staining compounds found in coffee. These polyphenols are specific to teas and are the compounds that give drinks like black tea its darker, reddish brown color and are also the most notorious tea staining molecules.
I would have never guessed that tea stains your teeth more than coffee. My guess would have been the other way around. Either way, it's nice that getting rid of the stains can be simply removed from visiting a cosmetic dentist. http://www.manchesterunitydental.com.au/cosmetic
